I welcome your support for my Polar Dip Plunge!

I recently moved into the blessed nature, amidst the great trees and the most sacred waters of Georgian Bay. In my year here, I have been privileged to be within walking distance to the Bay, and share sincere gratitude for its wisdom and natural ecosystems. It is a wonder to behold! In all my travels as a Meditation and ReiKi teacher, I have endeavoured to learn from the Indigenous peoples of the lands, as well as attempted to make the smallest footprint, as I learned from the lands and its waters. I endeavour anywhere I land to do my best in supporting the rematriation of the land and the preservation of its waters and natural habitats.

Heartbreakingly enough, I saw that Trans Canada Energy (previously known as Trans Canada Pipelines), is attempting to, well, you can read further in the links provided by “Save the Georgian Bay” on their detrimental proposal and its environmental impacts. Having witnessed the changes in our oceans and seas firsthand, it pains me to see how human capitalism still tries its best to continuously destroy our Earth for our many further generations to come. I share gratitude to having come across the efforts of this non-profit organization, and to support their efforts in raising awareness and issuing legal documents to try to stop this from devastating our lands and waters for many generations forwards.

I have done ice-cold dips for up to a minute in many countries, and am now in training mode so I can support my body through my knowledge of breathing practices, for this somewhat zany thing I will be doing in public. You are welcome to cheer me on from the shores if you are in Meaford, or can choose to participate virtually as well!

With Love for our Earth that we share, Josi

Save Georgian Bay Association

The Georgian Bay team is working to protect our region from the negative impact of T.C. Energy’s proposed hydroelectric pumped storage project. Our focus is to raise awareness in South Georgian Bay and all Ontarian about an irreplaceable natural resources and a national treasure. It’s a gem, a marginalized treasure to be preserved as-is for our children and grandchildren.

Save The Bay Polar Dip on February 25, 2023.

We are challenging the brave people of our region to jump into our pristine (and frigid) Georgian Bay. This is a great way to get involved and contribute to a well-intentioned cause affecting all of us. All funds raised go towards supporting the work that the volunteers at Save Georgian Bay do in an effort to protect our national treasure and the communities and wildlife who rely on it.
