This clean power project could green Ontario’s electricity and change how First Nations do deals — if it can ever get built

Unlike a wind or solar farm, the pumped hydro project in Meaford wouldn’t generate any new electricity. Instead, it would use surplus power generated by wind at night to pump water from Georgian Bay up 150 metres to a reservoir at the top of the Niagara Escarpment.
